Designed to fit into the OSS gap between Network Inventory and ERP Fixed Assets and (Stock) Inventory, the Omnix Network Asset Tracking solution pack is responsible for tracking all asset movements (from store to site, from site to site, from site to store) and all transitions (from in-stock to in-operation).

Only with a robust tracking system like Network Asset Tracking, can the operator be sure of the accuracy and integrity of the Fixed Asset Register as it pertains to network assets. To achieve this, the solution pack provides:

  • Management of all physical network inventory (including outside plant, passive equipment, bulk accessories and consumables)
  • Management of full inventory lifecycle from order to commission
  • New, In-Stock, In-Transit, Installed, Active, Lost, Decommissioned, etc.
  • Integral Number Management for control of configurable series (such as barcodes or RFID)
  • Links into an NPL project to provide essential traceability as to why assets are moving around the network
  • Comprehensive, and fully traceable check-in (Goods Received Note) including returns processing
  • Comprehensive, and fully traceable check-out (Picklist)
  • Initial Site Audits (for inventory registration) and periodic Scheduled Audits (including back-office variance reporting and reconciliation)
  • Works Orders for equipment installation, removal and swap-out
  • Prescribed APIs to ERP Fixed Assets and GL to keep Financial systems in step with network reality
  • Prescribed APIs to ERP Purchasing to acknowledge receipt-of-goods for direct-to-site dispatches
  • Specialised Mobile Client (for both Windows Mobile PDA or Windows XSP Laptop) for offline access
